Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Fan Campaigns)
Now although I didn't work on the show, I sure did have a lot of fun making fan art for it! I made a lot of promotional stuff for fun and made a lot of friends in the community. Think of this as a case study.
Rise of the TMNT #ColinCon
Streaming Fan Event
As a big Rise fan, I decided to put on a fan event for the release of the Rise of the TMNT movie! I spent weeks organizing and planning it and I got the attention of the crew and even the cast! I hosted an event that has special guests that included the executive producers, art directors, story board artists, writers, and more! I had trivia questions, giveaways, and a community drawing event.

2021 & 2022 #RiseCalendars
In both 2021 and 2022, I organized fan-made Rise of the TMNT wall calendars. I worked with both amateur and professional artists from all around the world! I even managed to get a Disney artist draw the cover for the 2021 calendar!
I organized the whole thing, designed all the 3 calendars, promoted the heck out of it, ordered all of it, packaged everything, and sent it all out by myself. I also designed and printed cookie cutters, designed one of the stickers, the t-shirt, and colored the inside spread for the 2022 calendar.
Bubble Nexus by Big Mama
I loved making products to see that were tied to Rise of the TMNT. I started 3D printing items from the show but I needed a way to send them out so a bath bomb seemed like a fun idea! It was a lot of hard work perfecting the recipe and painting each one. They sold out within a couple days!

In the summer of 2021, we thought we were getting the Rise movie so I thought it'd be fun to do promotion that Nickelodeon wasn't. I created a set of 8 pins and stickers based on items from the show and also did a 3D printed popsicle giveaway.
Re-cut Trailers
As a fun editing exercise, I edited a series recap in preparation of the movie. Also edited 2 trailers in the style of Fast 9 and Space Jam: A new Legacy. Check them out, they're super fun!
Easter Eggs
Again, I'm a lifelong turtles fan so I found a bunch of Easter Eggs and just put them out there.
And so much more!
Keeping a brand going and staying relevant is hard work. Making memes and jokes that are timely is difficult if you aren't keeping an ear to the ground and paying attention.
This is the sort of stuff I live for!
